Dirigo FCU is pleased to offer fourteen $1,000 scholarships to college and high school student members.

Supporting Our Community Through Educational Scholarships

Dirigo Federal Credit Union remains committed to helping all our members achieve their financial goals. It is our privilege to award deserving student members with college scholarships through our Annual Scholarship Programs. We have two scholarships each awarding $1,000:

Dirigo FCU Scholarship is awarded to High School students who are about to go to college.

Pauline Caouette-Moore College Student Scholarship is awarded to students who are currently in college.

Accepting applications from February 13^th through March 20^th, 2026

Eligibility

Applicant must be a Member or eligible to become a Member of Dirigo FCU.

Applicant must currently be either a high school or college student in good standing.

Requirements

Applicant must submit a copy of grade transcript (unofficial transcript is permitted).

Applicant must complete the online scholarship application.

Applicant must submit a 250–400 word essay on “Maine is a place where resilience, self-reliance, and adaptability are part of everyday life. Describe a challenge you’ve faced growing up or living in Maine, and explain how it has shaped your character, goals, or outlook on the future.”

agree and understand that if chosen as a scholarship recipient, then the individual grants Dirigo FCU permission to use his or her name, address, photograph, likeness, biographical and personal information, essay and scholarship award information in any formats and medium, including the Internet and on social media websites, for publicity, promotion, advertising and other purposes without further notice or additional compensation to promote the scholarship program, the scholarship recipient’s submission and Dirigo and its products; and shall further assign to Dirigo all rights of ownership, including copyright, in the submission, including but not limited to the essay and photo.
